Teaching
I strive to make philosophy accessible and meaningful to every student. My pedagogical approach emphasizes student-centered, skill-based, and justice-oriented learning.

Classical Buddhism (Spring 2025) [Flyer]
Description: Is life worth living? Is suffering avoidable? Is there a self? Why is compassion significant? This course explores these fundamental questions through the lens of Buddhist philosophy and practice. We will examine the development of Buddhism from its Indian origins through its transformation in East Asia, with a special focus on Chan Buddhism. We will also explore how classical Buddhist teachings are applied in contemporary contexts through engaged Buddhism.

I designed an Asian American Philosophy course that integrates digital humanities methodologies through a DEFCon fellowship. [Syllabus]
Description: Asian American philosophy is an exciting and emerging area within the philosophy of race that examines Asian as a racial identity rather than a school of thought. This course introduces key issues at the heart of Asian American Philosophy. We begin by exploring philosophical works on the metaphysics, epistemology, and phenomenology of Asian American identity. The second module explores various manifestations of anti-Asian racism driven by colonialism, xenophobia, and white supremacy. The final module focuses on the possibilities of solidarity, asking how collective resistance and mutual understanding might be forged in the face of increasing racial and global polarization.
